A Date to the Zoo

With the boy participating in a field trip that I did not need to supervise, the girl and I went on a date. To the zoo. 60 degrees and drizzly. During the winter months Potter Park Zoo is free. Both parking and entry, whether you within the city limits or not. This makes for a nice inexpensive date. We played with the otter, watched the spider monkeys and enjoyed walking around the zoo. The best part of our visit today was the mandrill. There was a baby, a very young baby. It had no fur yet, just pink skin and very attached to it's mama. As we were leaving we were skipping (literally) our way back to the car. Yes, I think it was a very good date indeed.
