Today during Reading my son was whining and complaining. Distracted!
In the lesson yesterday the main character did not get to be in his friends cabin for summer camp. He whined to his dad and determined he was not going to have fun. His dad told him God has a plan. He stayed in his assigned cabin.
Today's lesson, the boy was down by the lake for a bible lesson. In it the counselor told them they were to praise God from sunrise to sunset. This meant that God did not like whining and griping. These things were not praising him. In the story the boy felt bad for whining and asked God to help him do better.
From that moment on, there was no more complaining in he was focused and we finished the reading in no time. Yes, I love my curriculum.
