Camping Part 1

This years trip we took along our Tuesday night babysitter. She is also home schooled and had never been camping before. She is a jewel scout and was able to earn many badges on our trip. Since I didn't get permission to use her real name I will call her Jewel.

Hiking trails abound in Ludington State Park. Here is DS balancing on a down tree. He did this everytime we passed it.

Jewel and DS in Lake Michigan. It was 69 degrees with high wind. I let them go in for 15 minutes. They were warmer in the water than out. hey had a blast jumping waves.

Minutes later in warm clothes. You can see the wind blowing through DD's hair.

DD proving she can climb. She kinda surprised me by how well she did.

Jewel had to build her own fire. She did it! YEAH.

The girls and my moms dogs. DD loves to walk them and cuddle with them in her lap. She takes this job very seriously.

One of the days we biked over to Big Sable light house. DS on a huge tree stump.

We all climbed the 130 steps to the tower. We are bundled as it was very windy this day.
