This is my life as I live it. While life is indeed personal and unique I believe it is meant to be shared. Feel free to look around; please comment.

We eat a hot breakfast and then bundle up and go outside and make snowmen, snowanimals, snow forts, and such. Then we have a big snowball fight. Then we go sledding in our front yard. Then we come in, have hot chocolate, and play board games. We make snowcream and eat it. Have soup and sandwiches for lunch. Later, we build a fire and pop popcorn and watch a movie. We play freeze dance. We read out loud fun stories. Then we go back out and play one more time before bed.
Been there and done that...more than once too! I've been snowed in for three plus days a couple of times when I was younger. We played A LOT of games, watched a couple movies and played out in the snow. I'm happy to say that our family life didn't change too much...we did so much together as a family that it was more exciting that we didn't have to go to school and dad didn't have to go to work and we could spend more time together as a family!
When I was about 10---this happened. WE had NO SCHOOL for 5 days! Yep....FIVE! The roads were completely blocked, no one could get out of our subdivision. The only bad part....we had no power either! WE barricaded a room closed, we had JUST got our wood stove, so that room was nice and toasty, our neighbor came and stayed with us! We chipped ice from the driveway to melt water to flush the toilet. We cooked using a cast iron skillet (thank goodness we had two), putting it on top of the wood stove. My little brother was just a WEE WEE baby so he stayed inside with mom. Dad helped all the rest of the neighbors attempt to snow blow the subdivision roads near us! And what did us kids do? We played outside as much as we could. We went sledding and made forts, and man oh man was it fun (for us kids). I have no idea what we'd do as a family though here! Can I let ya know what we'd do if there was a hurricane? I've been there done that here too! TWICE! And.....And......we have no chance of snow!

Stay in our pajamas all day, sip hot chocolate, eat soup, and watch movies.
