Never Try This At Home

Guest Blogger: Written by five year old dear son(DS)

"NEVER TRY THIS AT HOME!
This is mythbusters." -DS

This is the experiment:
Put bubbles into a bottle and water.
Then shake it. Then pump it.
The bubbles will shrink.
We put it upside-down and took the top off.
IT EXPLODED!

It got everywhere, even on the ceiling.

I thought it was cool. It made me laugh so hard.
Remember: Never try this at home. Ever. Ever.

That's all.

WAY TO GO DS. Your first blog. What a surprise you got. Better in your kitchen than mine. WAY cool.

What a cool experiment! I wish I could have been there to see your expressons!I agree with Grandpa that it was better in your kitchen than ours! ha ha I love hearing all about your neat science stuff-maybe we can do some together when the weather gets nicer. I think you learned a valuable lesson-that not all things should be tried at home! (((HUGS))) Grandma

DS - I enjoyed reading your post and loved the pictures!! It does look like a fun experiment. I never thought to see what would happen if you turned it upside down. Very neat science stuff. Very creative.

But I have to tell you...I am thankful that you did this experiment in your own home with safety goggles. HA HA

So who had the pleasure of cleaning up the explosion of bubbles that landed everywhere?

I would recommend doing this experiment. Outside with protective eye gear. We did think it had potential to spray so we did it over the sink. We completely underestimated the power of the air pressure to push/force/explode out the water. I have never had so much fun wiping down my walls and ceiling.
